City water taps to run dry for two days
Nairobi residents will have to make do without water for the next two days following the shutdown of the Ngethu treatment plant for repairs.
A notice by Managing Director Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company (NWSC) Nahashon Muguna said the move would allow its engineers to repair works at Mwagu water intake along Chania River.
“The Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company would like to inform its esteemed customers that there will be partial shutdown of the Ngethu Water Treatment Plant on Tuesday, 18 January 2022. Whilst every effort will be made to restore the supply of water as soon as possible, we request all customers in the affected areas to use water sparingly during the period of interruption,” the notice said.
