Cops hunt for man suspected of killing colleague in Kajiado
Detectives are looking for a man believed to have killed a female police officer at Mashuuru, Kajiado Central last week.
The police officer, who was positively identified, is attached to Emali SGR station. She was stabbed on the neck and face Wednesday last week.
Residents reported the incident that occurred at Umasaini Texas plot after they failed to apprehend the attacker who took off after committing the heinous act.
According to a witness, the man and the victim had a scuffle in the latter’s house before the man fled the scene holding a blood stained knife.
The officer’s body was discovered at her doorstep. The neighbours also said the man is known to them as he is a frequent visitor in the house.
Confirming the incident, Mashuuru Sub-County police boss Charles Chepkonga said preliminary investigations show that the suspect is known by neighbors.
“It is unfortunate that a life was lost. There is no justification whatsoever to kill anybody. We have taken up the matter and commenced investigations into the motive of the murder. We have crucial information that is helping us pursue the suspect,” said Chepkonga.
