COVID-19: Kenya confirms 15 new cases as 5 patients recover

Kenya has confirmed 15 new cases of coronavirus, Health Chief Administrative Secretary Mercy Mwangangi announced on Tuesday.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 296.

Of the new cases, seven are from Mombasa, six are from Nairobi and two are from Mandera.

Six of the new cases are males while the rest are females.

Six are from quarantine facilities and the rest were picked for testing by the ministry's surveillance teams.

Five more patients have recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country to 75.
