Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria says his ministry is putting in place mechanisms that will see doctors on internship absorbed into public service as junior doctors.

The CS at the time called on the striking doctors to resume their duties to comply with the Labour and Employment court’s decision staying the nationwide strike.

Kuria’s remarks followed a meeting on  Thursday night convened by Head of Public Service Felix Koskei that brought together various parties and stakeholders.

While calling on the doctors to embrace dialogue, Kuria said it was not right for doctors to stop providing emergency services at public hospitals as they demand better wages.

“I want to tell our good doctors that the national government is committed to addressing their plight contrary to what they are being mislead to believe,” Kuria stated.
