Deworming boost for Busia schools

The Chief Administrative Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Dr Rashid Aman, led the country in celebrating 10 years of deworming under the National School-Based Deworming Programme.

The programme was led by the ministries of Health and Education, with support from Evidence Action, at the fete held at Mundika Boys Primary School in Busia county. Kenya targets to deworm over six million children across 27 counties. 

In Busia, over 297,000 children under 14 will benefit from the programme. Others with  Amana included the administrative secretary in the ministry of Education, Andrew Lukalia.
