Embu residents celebrate nomination of Muturi as AG

Embu County residents have received with jubilations news of the nomination of former National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi.

The locals were glued to their television screens when President William Ruto started his speech at State House to name his Cabinet.

Many residents convened in hotels and entertainment joints to find out what the President was going to reward in Embu County after they overwhelmingly voted for him in the general election.

At first, they thought Embu had been left out because they had not heard any person appointed from the county after the President concluded naming Cabinet Secretaries.

However, ululations render the air when the President announced that he had proposed Justin Muturi for the position of Attorney General.

"I'm indeed very happy with the appointment of Justin Muturi as the Attorney General. He is a lawyer and as Embu people, we are happy," said Stephen Njeru a resident of Embu county.

Njeru urged the President to further consider appointing more leaders from Embu for them to push the welfare of the county forward.
