Following Chief Justice David Maraga's announcement to reopen courts operation from April 21, officials from Ministry of Health on Monday visited Milimani Law Courts where they spend part of the day accessing court's room and registries.

The officials accompanied by judiciary officials accessed how the public, advocates, litigants and prisoners will be observing social distancing during the court proceedings.

On Monday, court handled about 50 traffic files where offenders pleaded to various traffic offences.

They were released after paying fines ranging from Sh 2,000 to Sh 15,000. This was after pleading guilty to the offences.

The health officials are expected to give guideline on how the court will be operating.
