KCB’s chances of clinching the FKF Premier League title were further dented yesterday after they lost 3-2 to Kakamega Homeboyz at Kasarani Annex.

Playing without utility left back Robinson Kamura, who is serving suspension following the red card he received in a 1-0 beating by Bidco United last weekend, KCB defence was visibly porous in the early exchanges but surprisingly grabbed the lead in the 15th minute through a penalty.

Twenty-five minutes later, Congolese Yema Mwana, a menace to the Bankers defence the whole afternoon, found an opening to give Homeboyz the leveller.

K’Ogalo’s strikes in the 66th and 90th minutes were enough to hand the team a second win on a trot after the 1-0 win over Mathare United last weekend and in the process jumped to the second position, dislodging KCB.

In Ruaraka, Tusker’s woes worsened in a shock 1-0 defeat, Oliver Maloba settling the match as contest for Nairobi City Stars with the solitary goal in the 87th minute.

At Nyayo National Stadium, midfielder Lawrence Juma ensured Sofapaka shared of the spoils with an equaliser in the 52nd minute against Bidco in a match which ended 1-1.

At Utalii Grounds, strikes by Moses Owino and Jeff Kinyanjui papered over the cracks crisis-hit Wazito in a 2-1 win over Nzoia Sugar.
