KEMSA CEO wins prestigious African Governance Award

Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) CEO Andrew Mulwa is the winner of the 2024 prestigious African Governance Award.

In an update, Mulwa was feted for his exceptional contributions to public governance at KEMSA which emerged as the "Most Outstanding Medical Supplies Authority Across Africa".

His victory was announced following a comprehensive and credible selection process that involved public nominations, a rigorous research consultancy, and expert assessments by an international Awards selection jury.

"We are thrilled to announce that our CEO Dr. Andrew Mulwa, has been confirmed as the winner of the prestigious African Governance Award 2024 Edition. His recognition as the "Most Outstanding Medical Supplies Authority Across Africa" is a testament to Dr. Mulwa's exemplary transformational leadership and KEMSA's commitment to excellence.

"The award, based on a rigorous selection process and expert assessment, underscores Mulwa's pivotal role in Africa's political and socio-economic renaissance," part of the statement stated.

Mulwa is set to join the rest of the awardees for the awards conferment ceremony scheduled to take place from February 7 to Feb 10, 2024. The event will be held during the African Governance Conference and Gala Award in Mauritius.

The winners will participate in a one-day pan African Governance conference preceding the awards ceremony.

This event is among the largest gatherings of top-tier public officials, private sector enterprises, and individuals aimed at supporting and recognising exemplary governance efforts across Africa. It extends to central, regional, and local governments, ministries, state agencies, and bilateral and multilateral institutions.
