Kenya’s COVID-19 cases jump to 1, 348

Kenya has confirmed 62 new cases of coronavirus after 2, 293 people were tested in the past 24 hours, Health CAS Rashid Aman announced on Tuesday.

This takes the total number of cases in the country to 1, 348.

"Fifty nine of the cases are Kenyans and three are foreigners," Rashid said.

Forty five of the cases are males and 17 are females.

The cases are from Nairobi (23), Mombasa (16), Kwale (8) and the rest are distributed among three other counties.

Three more patients have discharged, taking the total recoveries in the country to 405.
