Pamoja African Alliance (PAA) has vowed to keep off Raila Odinga's political rallies in the coastal region that will begin today, February 19.

In a statement, the party said Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) grassroots leaders in the region took charge of all preparations, excluding other parties under Azimio la Umoja Movement.

"To this extend, PAA will not participate in meetings organised solely by one constituent member of Azimio la Umoja to the exclusion of others," the party added.

PAA, however, said they will not quit the alliance.

"We remain committed to joining the idea of Azimio la Umoja which is to champion national unity irrespective of religion, tribe or political affiliation," the party said.

PAA is led by Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi, a disgruntled member of ODM.

The party was registered in July, 2021 and joined Azimio la Umoja last month.
