Mutua says referendum in 2022 is meaningless
Mutua said if this is done, the referendum will be meaningless as BBI aims at fixing some issues before the elections.
"One of the issues addressed in the report is the post election violence and that has to be tackled before then, it can't wait" he said.
Further he said having multiple questions will create more confusion to the people especially those whose literary levels are low.
Speaking during his tour in Murang'a over the weekend, the governor also said it will make people to wait for longer before they get the benefits to be derived from the report.
He said this is not a constitutional change just amendment being made in various areas to make it better.
"There are a handful of benefits that Kenyans will get upon the implementation of the report and the sooner we adopt it, the better" he said.
Mutua also said there is too much propaganda being spread about BBI by those who are opposed to it urging Kenyans not to be fooled.
"We need this report to bring change in this country both in politics and economy" he said.
"The system for this country has been hanging, everything is at standstill and BBI shall help reboot it" he added.
Mutua said his push to vie for presidency come 2022 is still on arguing that he has the experience to handle national matters.
He promised to bring the much desired change in leadership and steer the country to higher levels.
He had toured Gaturi ward in Kiharu Murang'a to drum up support for Hezbon Mwangi who is vying for the ward rep seat via the Maendeleo chap chap party ticket.
The ward by election is set to be held on 15th December.
