Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga on Thursday delivered x-ray machine to Kigumo Hospital.

Speaking at Kigumo market after handing over the machine, Raila said government should invest properly in healthcare and promised full roll-out of Universal Health Care (UHC) should he win next year's presidential election.

"When I attended a birthday party for a youngman here last month, a nurse at Kigumo Hospital told me they did not have an x-ray machine. I am happy I have brought it today," Raila said when addressing residents at Kigumo market.

Raila also promised Ksh6000 social welfare fund for jobless Kenyans.

He said the fund will help Kenyans to live a descent live.

Raila was accompanied by Kiambu Governor James Nyoro, Nyeri deputy governor Caroline Karugu and former Dagoretti South MP Dennis Waweru among other leaders.

Raila's visit to Kiambu comes barely two days after concluding his three-day tour of Mount Kenya East region.
