Azimio One Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga is on Sunday, August 21, set to address a major rally at Kamukunji Grounds in Kibra, Nairobi, before moving to the Supreme Court to challenge the recently announced presidential results.

A section of leaders allied to Azimio said on Sunday afternoon that the meeting is meant to calm impatient supporters and give them hope ahead of the Supreme Court battle.

Raila rejects presidential results

Earlier, Raila expressed confidence that his legal team will deliver justice at the Apex Court.

Speaking during a church service, Raila maintained that the electoral body's declaration of Kenya Kwanza Alliance presidential flag bearer William Ruto as President-elect was null and void.

He said the August 9 presidential poll was marred by irregularities, further pledging to reveal in court tomorrow how the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) allegedly bungled the election.

"We know the truth. We are going to show it wide and open at the Supreme Court starting tomorrow (Monday, August 22, 2022), "Raila stated.

"There is no doubt that Kenyan people spoke so loudly on August 9. The victory of the people of Kenya will not be taken away."
