FOOTBALL: A section of football stakeholders in the country have called for the reconstitution of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Electoral Board in readiness for a new election date.

This was discussed during a virtual meeting on Tuesday conducted by Sports Disputes Tribunal chairman John Ohaga.

The Board has been sa ubject to criticism from a section of aspirants and has had to be altered by the Federation once, due to challenges of individual members in place.

The reconstituted Board led by Kentice Tikolo which has a running term of four years was appointed by FKF in November 2019.

However, complaints from some aspirants and lawyers  to the effect that the house should be swept clean for a credible election to take place without controversy.

SDT Chairman John Ohaga was called in more than once to defend the Board arguing it was an integral part of the election process and had no direct links with the troubles at FKF.

Counsel for Office of Sports Registrar Martin Munene in his submission asked the SDT to consider putting in place an Interim office to cure any suspicion.
