There was thrilling action in three classes at the weekend during the MSFK-National Motocross Championship MX-Round 3 held at the Jamhuri Motocross track with crowds treated to pulsating action even in muddy conditions.

The Mx-50cc, Mx-65cc and MX-85cc were electric in all heats as the riders kept the standby spectators on their feet cheering. The likes of Chiara Hatanga in the MX-50 and Wahome Mutahi in the MX-85 were in their prime element in a show of might and skill. Hatanga was dominant in a field of giants and majority, male class. She won all heats in style in her 2023 KTM Bike No.828.

Her starts were great and she took control whenever she had her nose at the front therefore having an advantage in the corners. The youngster aged eight was also quick in her runs and often kept the chasing pack at bay and in the end managed to collect a total 60 points in the bag.

Behind her was Leto Tohani who was equally great especially in the second and third heat whereby he finished runner-up. The opening heat was affected by a slow start off the blocks that affected his overall run times and lap attack. However his recovery in the chase was brilliant as she executed her plan later on to the best of ability thereby collecting 47 points overall.
