Kenya African National Union (KANU) Chairman Gideon Moi now says he is in Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Coalition Party to stay.

Speaking in Nairobi on Thursday, Moi said Azimio is the only party that can safeguard the interest of Kenyans.

"KANU is firmly in Azimio la Umoja One Kenya and there's no turning back," Moi said.

He added: "However, we are determined to bring everybody on board to ensure a resounding victory for the Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga because we believe in inclusivity, individual liberty, and national unity."

The KANU boss raised eyebrows on Monday after skipping the unveiling of Raila Odinga's running mate at KICC.

Moi instead joined Kalonzo Musyoka where he announced his presidential bid.

Moi received backlash from a section of Azimio leaders after briefly attending Martha Karua's unveiling as Raila's running and leaving before the event started.
