Kenya Kwanza presidential flag bearer William Ruto is set to campaign in three counties on Friday, August 5, ahead of his final rally on Saturday.

In a programme seen by People Daily Digital, the DP is scheduled to hold a series of rallies in Laikipia, Nakuru and Nyandarua counties, his last rallies in the regions ahead of the August 9 polls.

The Kenya Kwanza team will begin their campaigns in Nanyuki in Laikipia East Constituency before heading to Nyahururu in Laikipia West Constituency at noon.

In the afternoon, the DP and his foot soldiers will traverse Nakuru Town East Constituency, Ol Kalou town in Ol Kalou Constituency, before culminating their tour with a mega rally in Engineer, Kinangop Constituency, Nyandarua County.

The DP will later proceed to Nairobi ahead of the Kenya Kwanza alliance's last rally set to be held at the Nyayo National Stadium on Saturday.

The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party leader got a reprieve on Thursday after the High Court allowed his team to hold their final mega rally at the city's premier stadium.

High Court Judge Joseph Sergon suspended the implementation of the Sports Kenya decision to bar the UDA party from using the Nyayo Stadium.

"An interim order is granted suspending the implementation by the respondents (Sports Kenya) by itself, its agents, servants, employees, agents, successors, assignees or anyone acting or claiming through or under the respondents of the decision contained in the letter dated July 20, 2022," Justice Sergon ruled.

Sports Kenya had denied the Kenya Kwanza alliance the venue on grounds that it had been booked.

In a letter dated July 20, Sports Kenya, which is tasked with managing the stadium, noted that the venue had already been booked for a separate peace concert.

Ruto's Azimio One Kenya coalition rival Raila Odinga is set to campaign in three coastal counties on Friday ahead of the coalition's final rally at Kasarani Stadium on Saturday.
