Bad day for MPs as they miss front row seats
Politicians who had accompanied opposition leader Raila Odinga at the inaugural Kipchoge Keino Classic at Nyayo National Stadium at the weekend found themselves in uncharted waters.
The hangers-on found the seating arrangement a little unnerving. An attempt to get space in the front row was frustrated by the presence of Deputy President William Ruto.
The three MPs were forced to settle three rows behind the party leader and were a sight to behold as they chased after him when the event was over.
Politician’s intimidation tactics fail to impress
A politician from Nyanza region was on the receiving end over the weekend after he claimed that his party would endorse his candidature for the same position in the 2022 General Election.
The chest-thumping politician claimed he is in constant touch with the party leader and he had promised to back him for the seat.
However, angry mourners, who included two would-be opponents booed him and accused him of using the party leader’s name to intimidate them.

The matatu operators are playing cat-and-mouse games with the officers by sneaking in and out without paying for parking.
A senior KRA manager says they are devising a method that will rope in matatus that operate from River Road and Luthuli Avenue to ensure that they pay the requisite fees.

However, it is emerging that some of the officers are going to bed with cartels that runs the streets of Nairobi.
Street talk has been reliably informed that most officers manning the traffic slots, including Kijabe Street, Moi Avenue and Tom Mboya Street are engaging in small time corruption by pocketing cess from short- term parking bays.
