DP Ruto attends Cleo Malala Super Cup in Mumias
Deputy President William Ruto has landed at the Mumias Sports Complex for the Cleo Malala Super Cup.
Ruto joins a number of his political lieutenants including Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and nominated Senor Millicent Omanga in gracing the annual event organised by Senator Malala.
This year's tournament will be the fourth that has been organised by the MP and which is played during the long school holidays.
On the same day of the tournament, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga attended the Azimio la Umoja political event held at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega with conveners of the two events stating that they were meant to unite Kenyans.
“Uniting the Mulembe people using soccer Mudavadi and Wetangula confirmed guests in the 4th edition of the biggest tournament in East Africa,” Malala tweeted.
However, the two leaders, Amani National Congress (ANC's) Musalia Mudavadi and FORD Kenya's Moses Wetangula were no where to be seen at both events.
Championed by COTU boss Francis Atwoli, the Azimio la Umoja event saw a number of MPs allied to both Wetangula and Mudavadi shift to ODM on Friday.
