Kieni Member of Parliament Kanini Kega has asked Kenyans to elect leaders and not dealers in the upcoming 2022 General elections.

According to Kega the only leader who can form the next government is Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga while the dealers are out there selling their conman ship agenda.

Raila is the right choice for us, he is a leader and not a dealer, our people will be safe under his leadership,

"Come 2022 Kenyans have an option of electing either a leader or a dealer. The leader is here, Raila is the right choice for us, he is a leader and not a dealer, our people will be safe under his leadership," he said

The legislator was speaking at Ruringu in Nyeri County during a political event attended by ODM leader Raila Odinga and a host of Mt.Kenya region leaders.

Kega further said Raila had the experience needed to steer the country to greater economic heights and urged the vote rich Mt Kenya region to back the former premier presidential bid.

The MP has continuously shown his admiration and support for the ODM for Raila’s presidential bid, publicly stating that he is ready to lose his Parliamentary seat as the ultimate price he must pay for his belief in the ODM leader.

“I am prepared to lose Kieni parliamentary seat if campaigning for Baba is the reason. I will not stop even if the rest of my colleagues from this region are playing safe politics, I will campaign for Raila till the last rally in 2022,” Kega said on November 3.

Raila on Saturday wrapped up his political tour of Mt Kenya with a meeting of the Azimio La Umoja at the Ruringu Stadium in Nyeri town.

Leaders present in Nyeri include Nyandarua Governor Francis Kimemia, Laikipia's Ndiiritu Muriithi, Nyeri Town Member of Parliament Ngunjiri Mbugua, Suba North Member of Parliament Millie Odhiambo and Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris among others.
