Deputy President William Ruto is best suited to complete Jubilee government projects having been part of Uhuru's administration since the formalisation stage of the projects, Chief Administrative Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ababu Namwamba now claims.

Namwamba says that Ruto has earned the right to complete the projects having been part of the planning system that has seen Kenya's infrastructural developments grow drastically for the nine-plus years he has been serving as the second-in-command.

Speaking when he welcomed Ruto in his home Constituency, the former Bundalangi MP maintained that among the top presidential candidates, Ruto has the best leadership and intellectual capacity to finish the projects started by his boss President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He said that presidential hopefuls affiliated with President Kenyatta are trying to harvest from the toil of Ruto by seeking to be endorsed into office. The ex-legislator urged his constituents to reject the said candidates.

Namwamba, who revealed that he has known Ruto for 18 years, maintained that while the handshake between President Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga is okay, the ODM party leader should not be endorsed in the place of Ruto.

"We agree it is good to befriend people for a better society but you cannot harvest where you did not sow. That is being hypocritical," he said.

At the same time, Namwamba highlighted that a team of United Democratic Alliance (UDA) officials has been appointed to oversee Ruto's campaigns in Bundalangi and the surrounding areas.

"We have agreed to work together, both the currently elected and those seeking elective positions. We will not fight as our enemy is not here but outside. We are ready to walk this journey together," he added.
