Ruto holds consultative meeting with Nyanza MPs

President William Ruto has, on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, held a consultative meeting at State House with Nyanza leaders led by Lang'ata Member of Parliament (MP) Phelix Odiwuor alias Jalang'o.

Taking to his social media platforms, the former comedian-turned-legislator shared a photo with Ruto at the State House shortly before the president gave out an update from the meeting.

"Today we had breakfast with the president, I followed up on the start date of the construction of affordable housing in the highrise ward and the completion of the Langata TVET.

"The project is on and the contractor is on the ground, an extra 50 million has been located for the completion," he wrote.

On his side, Ruto praised the leaders for joining hands towards a 'more united and developed Kenya'.

"Leaders must join hands, foster coexistence and work together in confronting the challenges facing our country. They must endeavour to lead by example and serve the interest of the people. This is a sure route to a more united and developed Kenya.

"At State House, Nairobi held a consultative meeting with MPs from Nyanza following a recent visit to the region," he wrote.

According to a dispatch by the State House, the leaders are set to work together to address national and county issues.
