Tharaka Nithi elected leaders have acknowledged that it is time for their inclusion in the government to ensure political gaps, development agendas, employment and appointments to different ministries are actualized.

Tharaka MP Gitonga Murugara while addressing residents in Kamachuku, Maara Constituency noted that Tharaka Nithi had delivered a 92% win for William Ruto and Kenya Kwanza, noting that the county required an equal share in return in matters development and government appointments for its people.

Murugara went on to thank the President for nominating former Tharaka Nithi Senator Kithure Kindiki for the appointment of Cabinet Secretary Interior and National Government Coordination, saying the county had for long been requesting previous regimes for such appointments.

According to him, the county remains hopeful of more slots such as the Principal Secretary (PS) and Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) positions.

We have been requesting positions such as the Cabinet Secretary and we thank President William Ruto for the appointment of Kindiki as CS. Without this, we can’t develop," he said.
