Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula now claims that President Uhuru Kenyatta's absence from Azimio la Umoja One Kenya alliance activities is a result of his realization that Ruto will emerge victorious in the forthcoming presidential elections.

The Head of State, who is the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party chairperson, has lately kept away from the political outfit's activities despite playing a key role in its formation.

Speaking at a Kenya Kwanza rally in Narok county, Wetangula stated that Uhuru who gave Raila's manifesto launch a wide berth has foreseen a win for William Ruto in the upcoming August general elections.

"It seems that President Uhuru Kenyatta has foreseen a Kenya Kwanza win on August 9, and that is why he has abandoned his project (Raila Odinga) and told him to seek votes on his own. Have you seen Uhuru and Raila walking together in rallies?" the lawmaker posed.
