Uhuru will have a role to play in my government – Raila
Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga has said President Uhuru Kenyatta will have a role to play in his government should he win the August 9 general election.
Raila, who spoke to BBC in London on Tuesday, said Uhuru may work as his economic advisor or a diplomat.
"The President can work in diplomacy just the way I'm doing at AU (African Union)," Raila said.
The ODM leader is currently working as the AU High Representative for Infrastructure.
Raila, who was unveiled as Azimio la Umoja Movement presidential candidate on Saturday, also promised to complete Uhuru's project should he win the presidency in August.
"The President has laid a great foundation for our country by investing in infrastructure. We intend to continue expanding our infrastructure and electricity connection across the country," he told BBC.
Uhuru has since endorsed the former Prime Minister to succeed him in the August 9 poll.
Raila who is on a five-day tour of the United Kingdom is expected to watch a match between Arsenal and Liverpool later this evening at the Emirates Stadium.
