Aukot opens up on DP Ruto’s role in Punguza Mizigo Bill
Thirdway Alliance Kenya party leader Ekuru Aukot has dismissed claims that Deputy President William Ruto is sponsoring the Punguza Mizigo Bill.
Aukot said the initiative was not being financed by any politician as has been claimed noting his party was only relying on well-wishers.
“We are the promoters of this bill, I do not understand why people are pushing Ruto into it…Ruto is in Jubilee so I do not know when he started becoming a member of Thirdway Alliance,” he said.
“People should not think that because we are in smaller parties we are not capable of deciding the path this country should take,” he added.
Aukot was speaking in Bomet county when he met members of the County Assembly and other stakeholders as he sought to drum support for the bill.
