ODM party leader Raila Odinga’s wife Ida Odinga has hit out at some politicians from Nyanza for criticising the family over Raila’s presidential election loss.

She said a section of politicians from the region, who were previously dining with the Odingas ahead of the August 9 General Election, has suddenly changed and resorted to criticising the Azimio-One Kenya leader after he lost in the election.

She said some of the politicians now attacking Raila were spending a lot of time at her house seeking support ahead of the elections before they later changed hearts.

“I remember how some of them would dine with us from breakfast to lunch and supper in my house. People don’t succeed through political witch-hunts,” Ida said.

Some politicians from Nyanza counties Homa Bay, Kisumu, Migori and Siaya, including former Kisumu senator Fred Outa, former MPs Martin Ogindo (Rangwe), Omondi Anyanga (Nyatike) and former Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA) chairman Odoyo Owidi have openly come out to criticise Raila after he lost to President William Ruto.

They have been working closely with ICT and Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo, while pleading their support to the Kenya Kwanza government.
