KCPE exam marking complete, says Magoha
Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Prof George Magoha yesterday said that the 2021 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination results may be released next Monday or Tuesday.
Magoha who spoke when he inspected the opening of exam container in Kibra, said that the dates will be dependent on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s diary but assured that marking has been completed. “In terms of KCPE, we are working with Monday or Tuesday next week according to the President’s diary.”
As has been the norm, the CS has to present the results to the President before they are released to the public.
The CS made the remarks as he warned of dire action for secondary school teachers and the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates caught trying to compromise the integrity of the exams.
He said the measures that the government has put in place to abet cheating have been adopted universally.

“I thank the stakeholders who include security agencies and multi-agency team members for ensuring that the exam has remained sacrosanct in the container until we remove it there. There were no major issues reported on Tuesday,” he said.
He urged teachers who have not breached the integrity of exams not to dare go that route saying their jobs are at risk and for the students-their results are at risk.
