Here is what you need to know in order to get up to speed with today's happenings.

Power outage

Kenya Power issued a notice informing Kenyans of power interruptions in select parts of four counties including Nakuru, Machakos, Nyamira and Homa Bay.

In Machakos, the areas which will experience power outages between 9 am and 5 pm include Great Wall 1 and 2, London Distillers, Sabaki Est, Tuffoam, Sabaki Kijiji and adjacent customers.

Part of Mlolongo Town, Athi 55 Godowns, Volvo, Signature Mall, KPLC Offices, Quickmart. Aimi Ma Lukenya County and adjacent customers will also experience power outages.

In Nakuru, the whole of Sobea, part of Ngata Chinese, Upper Hill Soilo, Verovian, Rosen, Flowers, Kenya Pipeline Soilo, Royal Steel, Mega Paper, Nakuru Teachers, Carzan Shantara, African Blooms, ABM, Shalom, Gicheha Farm, Shayonam Polythene, Regogo, Part of Salgaa and adjacent customers will experience power outage between 9 am and 5 pm on Sunday, October 1.

In Nyamira, areas which will experience power outages between 9 am and 3pm include Gesima, Mochenwa, Riyabe, Nyagachi, Esani, Karantini, Nyamakoroto, Mosombeti, Enchoro, Royal Media, Riamanoti, Matunwa Tea, Riamanoti, Matutu, Sekem and adjacent customers.

In Homa Bay, ICIPE Junction, Mbita High School, Milimani, Safari Village, Lake Treasure Koguna, Nyamanga Pri, Sen Otieno Kajwang Sec Sch, African Tilapia, Victoria Sands and adjacent customers will experience power outages between 9 am and 3 pm.

KPL

Kenya Premier League (KPL) will today witness four matches including Gor Mahia against KCB, Bandari against Kakamega Homeboyz, AFC Leopards against Shabana and Talanta vs Tusker.

EPL

Only one match will be played today between Nottingham Forest and Brentford.

CAF Champions League - Qualification

Today, three matches will be played: ASEC against Al-Ahly-Benghazi, Nouadhibou against Real Bamako and Al Hilal against 1º de Agosto.

CAF Confederation Cup - Qualification

The CAF Confederation Cup will witness six matches: Diables Noirs against MUZA, Saint Eloi Lupopo against Sekhukhume United, Club Africain against Bahir Bar Kenema, Rivers United against Etoile Filante, Future against Singida Big Stars, Academica do Lobito against Al Mereikh and USM Alger against FUS Rabat.
