The coronavirus outbreak has thrown the country into confusion after most public offices, including courts, suspended operations.

But a police station seems to be celebrating the turn of events, especially after the Chief Justice directed that petty cases be handled at police stations.

The station OCS has turned his office into a toll station where residents are rounded up on flimsy charges and ordered to pay not less than Sh2,000 to secure their freedom.

Those unable to raise the money are told they with remain in cell as long as the deadly virus is a threat.
