President Uhuru Kenyatta has told his Mount Kenya supporters at Sagana State Lodge to be warry of people 'lying' to them about how much they love them.

"When I talk to someone from Mount Kenya he or she doesn't know what is going on in Githunguri. The one in Githunguri doesn't know what is going on in Tharaka. They come here, dance for you then lie to you how much they love you," Uhuru said.

In his opening remarks at the State Lodge before he gives his full address, the President said he was keen on telling his people what his government has done in the region.

"I have come here for peace and nation-building. My happiness is, we agreed. I don't know what people are waiting to hear from me.

"We are discussing about the nation. We want to ask ourselves where we are headed, where we are coming from, and what we have done," he said.

The President, who was amazed by the huge attendance, said the meeting was his and he would only allow Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe to speak.

"I have had many talks. A lot has been said, but God is great. I told you to unite because there are many things we are yet to do," he added.

The Head of State also said Jubilee Party has been revived.

"Someone who thinks the party (Jubilee) is finished is dreaming. I will call someone to tell us where the Jubilee Party has been and what it has been doing," he told the attendees.

He further said he will talk to the Kikuyus and let them make informed choices in the August 9 election.
