Baringo Senator Gideon Moi eulogised his late mother Lena Moi for the ‘support’ he gave his late dad retired President Daniel arap Moi.

Speaking on behalf of the Moi family, Gideon said his father would not have attained much in life were it not for their mother.

“I would like to thank my mum (Lena Moi) for all the support she gave Mzee wetu.

Mzee would not have been where he is, were not for mum…” he told mourners at Kabarak University Grounds during the funeral service of the late president.

He added: “On behalf of all of us, we have thought as a family I should and I will say that, to thank my mum who has not been here and left us, for all the support he gave mzee wetu,”

According to him, the Moi family is extremely grateful their mother whom them love and miss dearly.

“We continue honouring her memory and now God has dictated that Mzee rests, he will go rest next to mum,” Gideon, who is the last born noted… “We want to say thank you na kwaheri.”
