Former President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday afternoon visited Jubilee Party headquarters in Kileleshwa after a fight erupted between two factions led by Jeremiah Kioni and Kanini Kega.

Speaking at the party offices, Uhuru said Jubilee members will solve their problems and they will not be forced by the police to do so.

"We have our mechanism as a political party to solve our problems and we shall solve them.

"We shall call our meetings and the members of the party will decide the future of the party," Uhuru said.

Uhuru calls for peace

He said the party members cannot be pushed by the police to make certain decisions.

"We are peaceful people who wish to live in a peaceful country, in coexistence with all the people of our republic. SG Kioni called me and I came to stand with him and took care of the interest and rights of our members," he stated.

He added: " We are peace-loving people. When they tried to take our party, we followed the law to reclaim it. Let us respect each and maintain peace for Kenya to move forward."
