Since Wazito FC replenished their squad with marquee signings, the no-nonsense club owner Ricardio Badoer is a man who has been advocating for perfection in the team.

But two matches into their debut on the top tier, the team remained win-less after another 0-0 stalemate with Western Stima in Kisumu on Saturday, a result that was not taken kindly by Badoer.

They were held to a barren draw in their league opening match against Nzoia Sugar a fortnight ago.

Infuriated by the result, the liquid owner read the riot act to the technical bench in a backlash that was apparently directed to Head Coach Stanely Okumbi and his deputy Fred Ambani.

He seems not to be happy with the fact that despite spending a fortune in assembling the fierce outfit, at least on paper, victory is yet to come their way and they have not scored any goal.

“I have seen what the issue is all about. We will see if the coaches are good enough to fix it and if not, it’s time to get new people who can do the job,” he wrote on his twitter account.

Badoer was irked by the team’s porous defense against Stima and singled out goalkeeper Kevin Omondi as the only player who played his heart out claiming he save his side from an humiliation.

“Kevin saved us. He gets 10 points while the rest of the team get zero,” said Badoer.

During the June transfer window, Wazito made what appears quality signings with pundits highly tipping the team to challenge for the top honours.

In the meantime, the KPL 2019/2020 season will be one of the most challenging if the weekend results are anything to go by.

Interestingly, six matches out of seven that were in the programme ended in draws which lends credence to this school of thought in the second round of the battle.

Besides Wazito, four other teams’ includingTusker, AFC Leopards, Mathare United and Sofapaka were among those which swallowed the bitter pill of remaining winless in the top-tier action.

Tusker who had a nightmarish start in the season in a 5-2 defeat by defending champions Gor Mahia were held to a 1-1 draw by Mathare United in the early kick off at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Saturday and must go back to the drawing board to devise a winning formula.
