There are adequate stocks of petroleum products in Kenya, the government has assured.

Petroleum and Mining Principal Secretary Andrew Kamau said there were enough stocks of petrol, diesel and kerosene. “Equally, we have over 217,000 cubic metres of diesel, against a daily uplift of about 10,000 cubic metres. The stock can last 22 days,” he added.

On kerosene, the country has 55,000 cubic metres which can last 17 days as the daily uplift is 3,251.

The PS said that in less than a month, 351,284 cubic metres of petrol and 310,656 cubic metres of diesel are expected.  Meanwhile, Kenya Pipeline Company has assured of sufficient stocks in its depots.
