Former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga has told Kenyans to expect an handshake between Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and Deputy President William Ruto after the August 9 presidential election.

Mutunga said the handshake will happen no matter who wins the presidential election between Ruto and Raila.

"One of the two factions will win and if there is the threat of peace, the foreign interest will just tell us to have another handshake thus we should expect Raila Odinga and DP Ruto to have another handshake," Mutunga said when he appeared on local television station on Wednesday morning.

Mutunga, who has been vocal on human rights matters since he retired, is set to launch The Transformational Agenda Movement which he said will not be aligned to any political faction in the country.

"The Transformational Agenda Movement is not aligned to any political faction. OKA is a project and the angle they are playing is dangerous because it makes elections pretty close and allows rigging of elections," he said.

He said the movement will give Kenyans an alternative voice.

"The movement is directly oppositional to the current voices we are hearing," he said.
