Gor Mahia confident of winning FKF PL title

Gor Mahia's Chief Executive Officer, Raymond Oruo, has confidently stated that he believes his team will win the FKF Premier League title this season.

Sitting at the top of the table with 37 points after 11 wins, four draws and one loss, Gor Mahia have the meanest defense in the league and are viewed as favorites to win.

Gor Mahia doing what they do best

Oruo acknowledges the difficulties caused by the pandemic and FKF suspension but believes that the team is back to doing what they do best.

When asked if he believes Gor Mahia can win the first title since 2019-20, Oruo said: "It's a straight yes without batting an eyelid."

"If you look at the history of the last 10 years, it's either Gor Mahia or Tusker winning the league," Oruo pointed out. "The past two years have been challenging for everyone due to the pandemic and the FKF suspension, but the league is back, and we're doing what we do best. We're currently leading the table at mid-season," he said in an interview with K24 TV.

Gor Mahia coaching staff efforts lauded

Oruo praised the players and coaching staff, especially head coach Jonathan McKinstry, for their outstanding efforts.

"Our players have done us proud, and the coaching staff has done an excellent job. Jonathan, in particular, has done a tremendous job managing the thin squad he inherited," Oruo said.

Looking ahead, the CEO spoke of his optimism for the team's future, noting that the imminent arrival of quality players would only serve to strengthen the squad and propel them to greater heights. and assured fans of good times

"We're delighted to be leading the table at this point, but there's still a long way to go. However, with the incoming injection of quality players, I can only see good times ahead," Oruo said.
