Harambee Stars keeper Farouk Shikhalo parts ways with TPL side KMC

Harambee Stars goalkeeper Farouk Shikhalo has ended his association with Tanzanian Premier League side Kinondoni Municipal Council FC (KMC).

The club acknowledged the player's departure on its official social media platforms and wished the former Bandari FC goalkeeper the best of luck at his future club.

"Thank you, Farouk Shikhalo. We wish you the best in your future endeavours," the club stated on Wednesday 3rd August.

Shikhalo, on his part, turned to social media to thank the club, saying it had been a joy working with them for the last year.

"I would like to give my sincere thanks to the family that has become a part of my life for a year. It has been a pleasure to work together. I wish them all the best. Thank you very much," he posted on his official Instagram account.

Other players that have parted ways with the club include former Gor Mahia midfielder Jean Baptiste Mugiraneza, Martin Kigi, Nickson Clement Kibabage, Kabunda Hassan, Abbas Kapombe, Sudi Dondola, and Denis Richard among others.

Farouk Shikhalo's deal

Shikhalo joined the side in August 2021 after being released by Yanga SC. He signed a one-year deal with the club and was part of the campaign where they finished 10th in the Tanzanian Premier League campaign.

 He had been with Yanga since 2019 and won the FA Cup final with the side, beating Simba SC by a solitary goal.

The player is expected to stay in TPL and has been linked with a move to Mtibwa Sugar.
