Intense rivalries awaits as Rift Valley Secondary Schools battle for glory

The stage is set for the Rift Valley Regional Secondary Schools term two ball games starting today all the way to Saturday at Ndurumo High School in Nyahururu Laikipia County.

According to Rift Valley Regional Secondary Schools Sports Association Secretary General Kirwa Koech, a total of 14 counties will participate in the three-day championship.

”We are ready for the championship as all systems go and we expect stiff competition. The championship will be used to select the team that will represent us in the national at Kakamega High School next month,” Kirwa told People Sport. 

Sondu Secondary School (Kericho), Loima(Turkana) Kabarnet Boys(Baringo) and Mwiruti (Uasin Gishu) are in Pool A in Soccer boys. Pool B has Ololulunga(Narok) Christ the King and St Anthony’s from TransNzoia while pool C has the likes of Chemase(Nandi) Kamito(West Pokot) Olmoran(Laikipia) and Girgir (Samburu).

In Pool D Marakwet Boys(Elgeyo Marakwet County) will face off with Kaplong Boys from Bomet and Menengai from Nakuru County. In soccer girls Moi Girls from Uasin Gishu are in pool A alongside Itigo and Nasokol from Nandi and West Pokot.

Pool B has Kamoi from Elgeyo Marakwet County, Oloshapani (Narok) and Sosiot Girls from Kericho County.

Pool C has Uhuru Girls from Turkana, Collins Davies from Kajiado and Kaplong Girls from Bomet County. In Pool D Falling Waters from Laikipia will take on Wiyeta (Trans Nzoia) Mogotio (Baringo) and Nyiro (Samburu).
