After over a year, Cricket League action resumes in the Capital under the auspices of Nairobi Provincial Cricket Association (NPCA) with five 50 over Super Division matches lined out for Saturday.

Bigwigs Stray Lions and Sir Ali Muslim Club are in action alongside Kanbis with Swamibapa having a bye in the first weekend pf action.

Kanbis Sports Club Team A will host Sikh Union at Eastleigh Secondary School in what looks a straight forward tie for the hosts however given the last inconsistent run of Kanbis, Sikh Union could very well have a go.

Dhiren Gondaria and Rakep Patel could be the key players in the fixture given their allround abilities in a familiar pitch while Sikh Union will probably have Rahur Seedarth and Jigesh Hiranoi on the bat while Jadavji Bhimji and Manoj Chaurasia will be the men on the bowling area.

Last year’s early pace setters Sir Ali Muslim Club will want to go again and silence the traditional bigwigs. The quadrant of Gudeep Singh, Zahid Abbas, Hamza Aimr, Tarandeep Singh and George Owino will cause problems to the opponents on any given day.

Sir Ali who are last year’s losing finalists, are away at Nairobi West against Shree Cutchi Leva Patel Samaj. In another match, Nairobi Gymkhana hosts Ngara Sports Club at their home turf along Desai Road.
