The top four teams in the National Super League sensationally dropped points this weekend as the championship entered Round 13 even as ninth placed Coastal Heroes ran riot Saturday at home with a massive win against visiting Dandora Love.

In what was an interesting twist, the title contenders in the league all drew save for third placed Muranga Seal who were stunned 2-0 away to Vihiga United.

Leaders Fortune Sacco are back on top with 28 points despite a frustrating goalless draw at home against fifth placed Muhoroni Youth who are on 20 points. The sugar belt side have three wins and three draws in their last six matches and look like a likely candidate to disrupt the status quo upfront. Kerugoya-based Fortune Sacco on their part are doing well by their standards and have not lost a match in their last six with four wins and two draws to their credit with 13 matches played.

Maiden campaign

Second-placed APS Bomet are just a point adrift with 27 points after a 2-2 draw at home to Zoo FC. The Administration Police men have had an inconsistent run lately which has seen them win thrice, lose once and draw twice in a span of six matches.

Kericho-based Zoo FC are seventh on the log with 20 points with a match in hand.

Meanwhile, surprise package Naivas FC on fourth place were held to a 1-1 draw to eighth-placed Kibera Black Stars at Camp Toyoyo. Naivas are currently on 21 points after an impressive debut season and have already proved doubters wrong in this maiden campaign.

It was Black Stars new Coach Paul Ogai’s first game in charge and the Slum Boys are currently on 18 points off 13 matches and still have some catching up to do in order to break into the title challenge bracket proper.

Elsewhere, Coastal Heroes had the biggest win of the weekend following a 6-1 thrashing of visiting Dandora Love. The win puts the team on 17 points and ninth on the log with Dandora under James Nandwa down to 11th place.

There were other impressive wins for Coastal based sides as Taita Taveta-based side Mwatate United earned their second win of the season following a 2-0 win over high-flying Muranga Seal at their Wundanyi Stadium.

In another duel, SS Assad stunned Mombasa Elite 2-0 in what was their third win of the campaign. Assad is now 16th on the log with 14 points while Elite are  at 13 place with 16  points.

Shabana FC also got a 1-1 draw with neighbours Migori Youth as Gusii FC and Kisumu All-Stars also drew 0-0.

Silibwet Leons who are 14th on the log also forced seventh-placed Mully Children’s Family to a 1-1 result.

seemed to us at times that Fifa and FKF were reading from the same book,” the statement further indicating Kenya is not likely to soften her stance.

Amina further says the government intends to continue to engage Fifa  just as they have been doing previously.

“We intend to keep it informed as we have done until now on the ongoing cases, investigations and the actions that we are taking. We hope Fifa will reciprocate and keep Kenyans informed on actions they intend to take with respect to issues we have raised on suspected misappropriation of their resources,” she added

At the same time, Amina accused Fifa of sidelining the Kenyan  government even when they had shown positive developments.

“Fifa  showed so much reluctance to engage with the government for good order, for universal principles of accountability and transparency that we were left with no choice than to allow it to manage football as we complied with our laws and demanded accountability for monies entrusted to the Federation for use on our youth.”
