Vihiga Bullets' five-match winning run has come to a swift stop following a stunning 1-2 loss against bottom-placed Mt.Kenya United in a duel played this afternoon at Camp Toyoyo.

Two quick goals in the opening 10 minutes totally disjointed the third-placed Bullets who are now on 30 points.

The Premiership hopefuls had to dig in particularly from the second half where they got their consolation goal.

Coach Edward Manoah of Bullets admitted it was long overdue and that he could not entirely blame the players for the unexpected loss.

“We were put off by these early goals but I cannot complain. In the second half, we showed commitment but were not lucky because the opponents were solid so congratulations to them.

"This is part of football and I will just try to encourage the players. We have been on a good run but eventually, it had to be broken so we will go back to plan ahead of our next fixture,” he said.

In another fixture, Migori Youth who are 12th on the log fell through with a 1-2 loss over hosts Coast Stima at Mbaraki Stadium.

The visitors were first to get a goal through Earnest Oyugi in the 30th minute but two quick goals in the 38th and 42nd minutes courtesy of Kassim Mohammed and Clinton Ochieng was enough to give the home team four points.

Incidentally, both teams in mid-week had contrasting results with Stima going down 0-2 to visiting Muranga Seal while Migori Youth beat Mwatate United 2-0 at Wundanyi.

At Ligi Ndogo Grounds, a solitary effort by defender James Dindi Obat in the 55th minute off across was sufficient for Kibera Black Stars to defeat lakeside visitors Kisumu All-Stars FC.

The win pushes Black-Stars under Elvis Ayana to fourth on the log with 29 points.

Off 18 matches and now firmly in the promotion chase. All-Stars who were last season booted out of the Premier League are sixth with 25 points.

Modern Coast Rangers on their part dished out a walkover against Silibwet Leons after failing to appear at the IAAF Stadium in Bomet for their Super League clash.
