Kalonzo’s ally Daniel Maanzo whitewashes Kibwana in Makueni Senatorial race – Infotrak
Wiper Democratic Party's Daniel Maanzo is leading the race to succeed Mutula Kilonzo Jnr against outgoing governor Prof Kivutha Kibwana in the senatorial race.
This is according to the latest opinion polls by Infotrak, which places Maanzo ahead with 38 percent, while Kibwana enjoys 16 percent support. Patrick Mbau has seven per cent support while Kisyula Robert and Nzisa Victoria have one percent each. 37 percent of the voters are undecided.
Makueni gubernatorial race
In the gubernatorial race, outgoing senator Mutula could win with a landslide, with the pollster placing him ahead with 63 percent while Patrick Musimba comes a distant second with 18 percent.
David Wambua has two percent support while Emmanuel Musau has one percent support. Anderson Kaloki is last with negligible support of 0.2 percent.
16 percent of the voters are undecided in the gubernatorial race.
Woman representative race in Makueni
The incumbent Woman representative Rose Museo, vying on a Wiper Party ticket, is leading with 37 per cent, which is lower than 46 per cent of the voters who are undecided.
Maureen Wavinya, Betty Kingoo and Mbula Mutula hold the second position with four per cent each while Jane Kitundu has two per cent support. Adelina Mwau, Damaris Maweu and Jacinta Kihumba have one percent each while Grace Mwewa has 0.3 percent.
Wiper is the most popular party in Makueni with 42 per cent support followed by ODM with 19 per cent while Deputy President William Ruto's UDA has 13 per cent.
25 percent of the voters in Makueni do not support any political party, for now.
