Wife and children: Inside Rigathi Gachagua’s family
United Democratic Alliance (UDA) deputy presidential candidate Rigathi Gachagua has for the first time talked about his family in public, ahead of the August polls.
Gachagua, on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, said that he recognises the family as the basic unit of society and of the nation.
"I was born and brought up in the slopes of Mt. Kenya 57 years ago. Family is a basic unit of society and the nation. Strong families, make strong nations. I am the head of a family and it is my pleasure to introduce my family who are here with me today," Gachagua said.

Gachagua revealed that he has one wife and three children, one of whom helps him run the family business.
Gachagua has been married to Pastor Dorcas Wanjiku Rigathi for 35 years, with whom they are blessed with two sons. The firstborn son, Mr Kelvin Gachagua who is a software engineer.
The secondborn son is called Dr Keith Keino, who is a medical doctor but helps the politician run his family business.
