Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has hit out at Kenyans celebrating the return of lawyer and activist Miguna Miguna.

The controversial lawmaker opines that the firebrand lawyer was on holiday in Canada and not in exile as widely perceived.

Babu posited that Miguna was just a Kenyan of means who was enjoying his time in a foreign nation.

"Why should some people celebrate Miguna Miguna for coming back from holiday in Canada? How many Kenyans just want to travel and enjoy the serene environment of other countries but can’t afford it?" he posted.

The two-term legislator further claimed that while in Canada, Miguna enjoyed all his fundamental rights that qualified his stay to be viewed as a vacation than exile.

"Miguna Miguna was enjoying all his fundamental rights including conjugal right and the right to aimlessly open his buccal cavity. It’s good to be back home after perambulating in Canada. Welcome Miguna,it’s now time to work," he added.
