Speaking in Kajiado when he issued ODM certificates to aspirants in the County, Lenku accused Mositet of fueling propaganda that Azimio governorship position in Kajiado will only have a single candidate.

Angry Lenku governor

Angry Lenku accused Mositet of messing up the ruling Jubilee party and now interfering with ODM on unfounded rumours.

He accused Mositet of misusing his Jubilee position and using his influence for self-gain through asking bribes from aspirants and rewarding those who are able to part with handsome money.

Lenku further claimed that Jubilee party in Kajiado is no longer a competitive party due to biased consensus exercises that have edged out popular candidates to the chagrin of dissatisfied voters.

"I want to send a stern warning to Mositet. Be sure you cannot mess up Jubilee and extend your disgraceful acts to ODM party.

“There is no room for you to kill Azimio. You have killed Jubilee through a shambolic consensus exercise in which your interest prevailed. We cannot accept your incompetence to mess up ODM. Stop propaganda that I will not be on the ballot, stop,” Lenku warned.

Lenku further reassured Kajiado residents that he has the ODM governor position certificate and that he will be on the ballot in the August polls.

The governor’s verbal attack comes a few days after ODM and Jubilee parties completed their lineups.

Jubilee has not conducted party nominations in the county but instead used consensus to handpick candidates while ODM conducted primaries in contested elective seats.

Mositet declined to comment on the matter.
