Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Nelson Havi now says he cannot represent anyone opposed to Deputy President William Ruto or his United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party in a court of law.

The Westlands parliamentary aspirant reiterated he is now a UDA insider and anyone with any issues whatsoever against the party can seek the services of other lawyers.

In an interview with a local television, Havi said there are many lawyers who can represent anyone who has a problem with the second-in-command or the UDA party at large.

“I cannot represent anyone with a problem with DP Ruto because I am already a UDA member and his general, however, there are many lawyers out there who can represent anyone who has problems with the DP or UDA,” Havi said.

Havi on Monday ditched Amani National Congress (ANC) and joined DP Ruto's camp.

Ruto welcomed Havi to UDA at his official residence in Karen, moments after completing an Inter-governmental Budget and Economic Council meeting.

At the event, the DP asked Mathira MP Rigathi Gachugua to welcome Havi into the party as he prepares to vie for the Westlands' parliamentary seat in the next year's general election.

"Gachagua why can't you have a handshake with Havi as we welcome him into the hustler nation," Ruto told the MP.

Havi was received by Members of Parliament including Aden Duale (Garissa Township), Kimani Ichungwah (Kikuyu), Rigathi Gachagwa (Mathira) and Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago, among other leaders.
