Eldas MP Adan Keynan is set to replace David Murathe as Jubilee National Deputy chairperson.

The Jubilee Party has proposed new leaders to steer the party, following a ruling by the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal (PPDT) that upheld the appointment of Kanini Kega as the Party's acting Secretary General.

In a Gazette notice by the Registrar of Political Parties Ann Nderitu, the party proposes Kega to continue acting as the Secretary-General.

The party has proposed Eldas MP Adan Keynan to replace David Murathe as the National Deputy chairperson.

Suspended acting National Treasurer Kagwe Gichohi will be replaced by Kitui South MP Rachael Nyamai.

The Party has nominated Mumina Bonaya as the Women League National Chairperson to replace Fatuma Gedi.

Other appointments include Isiolo Senator Fatuma Dullo (Senate Leader), Lamu Senator Joseph Kamau (Senate Chief Whip) and Nakuru West MP Samuel Arama (National Assembly leader).

Sabina Chege, who is the acting party leader, has been nominated as the Jubilee National Assembly Chief Whip while Laikipia North MP Sarah Korere has been nominated as the National Assembly Deputy Chief Whip.

Menengai Ward MCA Wajeff Mwangi has been nominated to the position of MCA council chairperson.

The Jubilee party has also nominated Bahati MP Irene Mrembo, Margaret Kamar and Jerusha Momanyi to serve as members of the National Executive Committee.

Isiolo Governor Abdi Guyo has been nominated to the position of Governor's Council chairperson.

In a bid to effect the changes, the party has announced a National Delegates Convention (NDC) on August 7, at the Bomas of Kenya.

PPDT ruling on Jubilee

In a ruling on Monday, July 10, 2023, PPDT upheld the expulsion of Jeremiah Kioni and David Murathe from the Party.

On May 19, 2023, the Kanini-led faction of the Jubilee Party expelled Murathe and Kioni over gross misconduct and lack of respect for Jubilee organs.

Murathe, Kioni and Gichohi were seeking orders from the Tribunal setting aside the expulsion notice from Kega.
