Anthony Mwaura appointed UDA’s National Elections Board chair

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) chairperson Anthony Mwaura has been appointed the chairperson of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) National Elections Board.

Mwaura will be deputized by Veronica Kiberenge, who will serve as the vice chairperson

Other members of the elections board include Lydia Munika, Jimmy Kaingi, Mary Mutinga, Halake Dida and Linda Kiome.

Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) Board Chair Joy Mdivo, on the other hand, has been appointed as head of the Electoral Dispute Resolution Committee.

Other members of the committee include Adrian Kamotho (vice chairperson), Hellen Makone, Yvonne Cherop Kae, Duncan Ojwang, Kaberia Isaac, Barbra Japan, Anjichi Joseph and Ziporah Karimi Muiruri.

Rebecca Tonke has been appointed as the chairperson of the Internal Dispute Resolution Committee (IDRC).

Other members include former Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar, Joshua On'gera, Leah Manyarkiy, Samuel Kariuki, Bishop Robert Theuri and Ronald Shako.

The appointments were made on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, during the UDA National Steering Committee Meeting, ahead of party elections to be held from April 26 to August 24, 2024.
